On July 24, the Costa Este Foundation took a very special step: it presented its social project to the media—an initiative born from a deep commitment to its community and a desire to generate a positive, tangible, and lasting impact wherever it is present.
The Foundation is much more than a new chapter: it represents the natural evolution of a journey spanning over two decades, and a way to channel the informal support and collaboration that had already been taking place—now with structure, resources, and a clear vision for the future.
Three Pillars, One Purpose
The Costa Este Foundation focuses its work on three main pillars:
- Culture and local community, promoting activities that strengthen belonging, identity, and social cohesion.
- Employment and training, especially in the hospitality and leisure sectors, to create real impact in the community.
- Environment and sustainability, through awareness campaigns, clean-up initiatives in natural spaces, and sustainable actions that promote care for the environment.
In an interview published by El Mundo Cataluña, the project leaders Isabel Estany and Sara Herrero clearly explain the origin and purpose of the Foundation: a bridge between the business and social sectors, a space for collaboration, active listening, and collective community-building.
“The Foundation is a concrete way of giving back to the neighborhood everything it has given us,” they affirm.
La Barceloneta, due to its history and specific needs, will be one of the Foundation’s main areas of focus. However, its approach is open and collaborative, always seeking to build partnerships with local organizations, residents, institutions, and companies.
The Costa Este Foundation is already underway.
Cultural, environmental, solidarity-based, and sports-related projects are already taking shape with the support of local associations. And this is just the beginning
