About
costaeste
"Costa Este was established in 1988 by brothers Ramón and Javier Bordas, driven by a dream to create unique spaces that offer innovative and distinct experiences. With over 35 years of history and more than 50 openings over the years, the brand has transformed the restaurant and nightlife scene, making its venues iconic destinations for nightlife and gastronomy. From their early tent setups in the 80s and 90s, Costa Este has grown to manage more than 14 venues across Barcelona, Madrid, and Marbella, each designed with a cutting-edge concept aimed at delivering the best possible experience for its guests.
The company's philosophy focuses on creating spaces with exceptional design in unique locations, where people can enjoy the best of life. We aim to offer places that inspire happiness and fun in an elegant and stylish environment, providing the customer with a unique and memorable experience.
The name Costa Este reflects the Bordas brothers' passion for the coast, particularly the east coast of Spain, their hometown of Barcelona, and their connection to the beach where their first project began."

A trip down memory lane
The birth of a vision
Costa Este was founded in the late 1980s with an innovative vision: to offer unique experiences in dining and entertainment. The Bordas brothers, founders of the brand, opened the first beach tents in Barceloneta and Calella, spaces designed to connect with customers through social experiences, marking the first steps toward great success in the industry.

Dominating Barcelona's nightlife
Costa Este solidifies its position as a leader in Barcelona’s nightlife. With the opening of La Chatarra, the brand achieves its first major milestone, making a significant impact and establishing itself in the entertainment sector. Later, Jimmyz marks the leap to a permanent venue, quickly becoming one of the most popular destinations. Along with the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Costa Este’s venues become the epicenter of fun, favored by both locals and tourists. In 1997, the opening of Universal further strengthens its presence, solidifying Costa Este as a key name in nightlife.
